The interior ministry said Monday that the government has restored 46 of the 647 administrative information systems suspended due to the fire at the National Information Resources Service in Daejeon last Friday.

Interior Minister Yun Ho-jung made the remarks while presiding over a meeting of the Central Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Headquarters at the government complex in Sejong City.

The minister said that 46 systems, including popular services such as Government24 and financial products offered by Korea Post, have resumed operations after apologizing for the inconvenience caused by the service disruption.

Yun said that the 96 systems housed in the room that the fire destroyed cannot restart immediately and that they will be relocated to Daegu for recovery work.

Yun asked ministries and local governments to work together to minimize public inconvenience.
