41st WorldSkills Competition Opens in London

The 41st WorldSkills Competition opened in London on Tuesday night, local time, for a six-day run.

Nine-hundred people from 50 countries around the world will compete in 39 fields through October ninth.

South Korea sent a team of 43 people to this year’s competition with an aim to win it for the third consecutive time. It won the 2007 competition held in Japan and the 2009 event held in Canada.

South Korea has won 17 WorldSkills Competitions.

The international contest of young skilled people is held every two years.
