South Korea has clinched its 17th title at the WorldSkills competition in London.

South Koreans won gold in 13 out of the 46 events they competed in at WorldSkills London 2011 that closed on Sunday. The nation beat rivals including Japan and Switzerland to secure another overall victory in the international skills competition.

The Korean team competing in the mobile robotics event won a gold and also the most valuable player award despite an unexpected mistake they made on the first day of games.

Korea also won for the third time in the jewelry category and maintained the top global spot in milling, one of its traditional stronghold areas.
