KBS NY-Korea Festival Held Successfully on Sunday

The “KBS New York-Korea Festival” was successfully held in New Jersey on Sunday to mark the 20th anniversary of South Korea’s entry into the United Nations.

Tens of thousands of ethnic Koreans and K-Pop fans gathered for the event held in Overpeck Park in New Jersey that featured performances by top Korean singers and bands.

Through a video message that was screened at the event, U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon expressed words of appreciation.

Also attending the festival were key Korean-American politicians, including Palisades Park Deputy Mayor Jason Kim and former Edison Mayor Choi Jun who has announced plans to seek the Democratic nomination in 2012 for New Jersey's seventh congressional district.
