Voice of America says North Korea has the second smallest number of mobile phone users in the world.

The broadcaster reported the International Telecommunication Union’s statistics show that less than two out of every 100 people have a cell phone in North Korea. The figures were based on a study on the penetration of mobile phones in 200 countries around the world.

However, Voice of America added that an increasing number of North Korean's are signing up for mobile phone service.
