Clinton: Next Several Weeks May Yield Possibilities with NK

U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton says she may know in the next several weeks about what kind of steps will be possible with North Korea.

During an interview with Reuters this week, Clinton said that Washington has “been willing to remain engaged with the North Koreans on a range of issues that they are following up on.”

She said the U.S. has been working closely with Seoul to an unprecedented degree and that during South Korean President Lee Myung-bak's state visit to the U.S. this week the two nations would be discussing what steps might occur next with the North.

Since holding bilateral talks in New York in July, the U.S. reportedly has been planning to hold a second round of talks with the North in a third country after the state visit.
