US Daily: US Congress Has 'Worst Year' in Washington

The Washington Post says the U.S. Congress had the “worst year” in Washington in 2011.

The U.S. daily chose the U.S. Congress from a handful of candidates up for the worst year in Washington award including Representative Anthony Weiner who stepped down following a Twitter sex scandal. The daily said the unpopularity of the U.S. Congress is nothing unusual, but it even managed to underperform the low expectations the American people hold of it by failing in the budget deal, the budget-ceiling debate and the Super Committee.

The daily said Secretary of State Hilary Clinton and her family had the “best year” in Washington in 2011. The Washington Post said President Barack Obama had a “bad year” due to his failure to create jobs and spur economic growth.
