US Offers Huge Reward for Wanted al-Qaida Fundraiser

The U.S. is offering a reward of up to 10 million dollars for information on the whereabouts of wanted international terrorist Ezedin Abdel Aziz Khalil who is better known as Yasin al-Suri.

The U.S. State Department announced the reward program in a special news briefing on Thursday, local time.

The department’s Assistant Director for Threat Investigations and Analysis Robert Hartung said that based in Iran, Yasin al-Suri has helped move money and terrorist recruits to al-Qaeda leaders in neighboring countries in the Middle Eastern region.

This is the first time that the U.S. is offering a reward to catch a fundraiser for al-Qaida. The reward program is apparently aimed at dealing a blow to the terrorist network’s fundraising organization, which was set up in Iran in 2005.
