S.Korea, China Agree on Need to Stably Manage Situation on Korean Peninsula

South Korea and China have fully agreed on the need to stably manage the situation on the Korean Peninsula.

A diplomatic source in Beijing said the two sides reached the agreement in a meeting between South Korea's top nuclear negotiator Lim Sung-nam and his Chinese counterpart Wu Dawei in Beijing on Thursday afternoon.

The two chief nuclear envoys discussed ways to resume the deadlocked six-way nuclear talks and developments in the political situation on the Korean Peninsula following the death of North Korean leader Kim Jong-il in their three-hour meeting.
