NORAD Receives Record No. of Phone Calls About Santa's Journey

The North American Aerospace Defense Command received a record number of phone calls this year asking about the whereabouts of Santa Claus.

The command, known as NORAD, received over 100-thousand phone calls from children all over the world calling to find out where Santa was and when he would be coming to their homes. The previous record was 80-thousand.

Numbers also saw a jump online as one-million people visited the Facebook page of the command for Christmas this year, outnumbering 716-thousand last year.

NORAD is a joint organization of the U.S. and Canada tasked with the missions of aerospace warning and control for North America. It has been offering information on the yuletide journey of Santa Claus to children worldwide since 1955.
