Romney Holds Lead in Run-up to New Hampshire Primary

A new poll shows former U.S. Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney remains in the lead among likely Republican voters in New Hampshire in the run-up to the state’s primary in January.

CNN said a Boston Globe poll released Sunday showed Romney on top with 39 percent support followed by former House Speaker Newt Gingrich and Representative Ron Paul of Texas tied at 17 percent.

A presidential primary election is set to be held in New Hampshire on January tenth following a caucus in Iowa on January third.

The New Hampshire primary is the first in a series of nationwide political party primary elections held as part of efforts to select the Democratic and Republican nominees for the presidential elections.
