A Japanese newspaper reports that an explosion at an Iranian missile base killed five North Korean technicians and severely wounded two others on November 12th.

The Sankei Shimbun said Friday that three of the seven North Korean victims were from North Korea’s key defense science institute.

The explosion at the base located southwest of Tehran also killed five Iranian technicians, including a leading figure in the missile development project.

The Japanese daily added that dozens of North Korean and Iranian technicians visited Syria to observe a missile test on December first.
