More than 14-thousand cases of bribery were reported in China last year.

A Chinese newspaper says 14-thousand-800 instances of bribery totaling nearly four-point-three billion yuan were discovered across China from January through November last year.

The number of bribery cases involving state officials increased one-point-nine percent over last year.

The newspaper said at least 94-thousand cases of bribery were reported over the past seven years since China began publishing a white paper on bribery in 2005. The amount of bribes reached 25 billion yuan during that period.
