Foreign Ministers Gather for Trilateral Talks

The sixth trilateral talks between foreign ministers from South Korea, Japan and China have started in the eastern Chinese city of Ningbo.

The three-way talks, which will last for two days, will consist of bilateral talks throughout the day and end with a joint press conference on Sunday, after a morning general meeting with all parties present.

The Chinese Foreign Ministry has said the talks will touch on future cooperation between the three countries and the upcoming trilateral summit talks.

It has also said the top diplomats are to discuss joint regional issues as well as international events at hand, signaling North Korea’s rocket launch plan will be included on the agenda.
