A CNN survey finds that around eight out of ten Americans consider North Korea a threat to the United States.

According to the survey on about one-thousand adults, 43 percent said they view North Korea as a very serious threat to the U.S, and 33 percent said they see the North as a moderate threat.

Compared to similar surveys conducted when the North launched a long-range rocket in 2009 and held a second nuclear test, the percentage of those who view the North a very serious threat fell slightly.

Meanwhile, the poll showed 81 percent view Iran as a very serious or moderate threat to the U.S.

The poll was conducted for CNN by ORC International between April 13th and April 15th. The survey's overall sampling error was plus or minus three percentage points.
