The U.S government believes that China exported parts for a vehicle that was transporting a ballistic missile recently seen on North Korean state media.

According to Reuters, a U.S. official said a Chinese manufacturer is believed to have sold the chassis but not the entire vehicle to North Korea.

The official said the sale may have been for civilian purposes, which would not make it an intentional violation of United Nations Security Council resolutions.

However, the United States is planning to pressure China into abiding by the UN resolutions that forbids all military transaction with North Korea.
