Wild Mount Baekdu tigers have been spotted in Hunchun, China, a region bordering North Korea.

Just several days ago, a horse grazing in the woods nearby its farm was attacked by a Mount Baekdu tiger.

The tiger’s tooth marks were clearly distinguishable in the neck of the horse, and its hips had been eaten away.

Mount Baekdu tigers were also reportedly spotted near a village, since their living conditions in the wild have deteriorated.

Chinese forestry authorities worry that the amount of food for tigers, such as boars and deer, is not sufficient.

Roughly 20 Mount Baekdu tigers are believed to live in wild in the northeastern part of China.
