The Eurasia Group has ranked South Korea and Poland as the most politically stable among 30 emerging market countries.

The Global Political Risk Index released by the political risk research and consulting firm measures a country's ability to absorb political shocks. In the index, South Korea and Poland scored 77 points out of 100.

The Czech Republic, Chile and Hungary followed in the list.

The assessment comes despite the continuing threats coming out of North Korea.
