Pro-N. Korea Association Building in Japan to be Auctioned Again

Japan’s Asahi Shimbun says the main building and land owned by the pro-Pyongyang General Association of Korean Residents in Japan in Tokyo are likely to be put up for auction again.

The Saihuku Temple in Kagoshima Prefecture had won a bid for the building and land but will hold a news conference on Friday and announce that it doesn't have money to make the payment.

The temple had sought to get loans of about five-billion yen, or some 55 billion won, from around ten financial institutes but was rejected. Some financial institutes had requested a high interest of more than ten percent annually for the loan.

A senior monk of the temple lately said in a lecture that the Japnaese government allegedly pressured financial institutions not to give the loan in order to drive the North into a corner.
