Brazil Expects 2014 World Cup to Bring 600,000 Foreign Tourists

Brazil’s state-run tourism agency is expecting the 2014 World Cup to draw some 600-thousand foreign tourists.

The Brazilian Tourist Board said that central and local governments are investing 16 billion U.S. dollars to build infrastructure needed to host the World Cup.

Brazil will host the World Cup finals for the first time in 64 years since 1950. The month-long international soccer event will run from June 12th through July 13th, 2014.
