Solo Debuts of Former Girl Group Members
Solo debuts are a recent trend in the local pop music world.

From the group Jewelry, Suh In-young (23) will attempt a solo career when she releases her first album next month. Jung Yeon-joon, leader of hip-hop group Uptown, collaborated with Suh, acting as the album’s producer. Full of hip-hop dance tracks and ballads, Suh’s new album will be a departure from her previous music with Jewelry.

Chae Eun-jung (25), from the now-disbanded 3 member girl group Cleo, is also planning to release a solo album in the later half of next month. Chae is returning to the music scene 4 years after Cleo broke up with 13 new hip-hop style tracks. The first single is the dance song, “Pop.” She will make her comeback with a sexy and powerful image.
