People’s favorite noraebang song of 2009 was found to be diva Lee Eun-mi’s “I Have a Lover.” Geumyoung, Korea’s biggest music contents provider, surveyed the most often sung tracks from January 1st through December 9th and found that Lee’s hit took the top spot two years in a row.
“I Have a Lover” is popular for its heartbreaking lyrics and melody, but also for supposedly being the late actress Choi Jin-sil’s favorite song. The song also stayed in the top 100 of the Mnet Music chart for 64 weeks straight, setting the record for the longest stay in a music chart.
The second favorite noraebang song was “Gee” by Girls’ Generation, followed by Da Vichi’s “8282” and fun-filled “Superman” by Norazo. Other songs in the top ten include such ballads as “Like Being Shot” by Baek Ji-young, “Tears Dropping”! by K.Will, and “Resignation” by Lee Young-hyun, a member of Big Mama.
