April 23rd marks the 400th anniversary of the death of famous British playwright, William Shakespeare. To learn more about how his works and spirit continues to inspire and challenge generations around the world even today, we had a wonderful opportunity to meet with Professor Paul Heritage of Queen Mary University of London’s School of English and Drama who was visiting Korea as part of the British Council’s special lecture series on Shakespeare.
Also, as Professor Heritage is the art director and founder of People’s Palace Projects (PPP), an independent art charity that advances the practice and understanding of art for social justice, we also had a chance to learn more about human rights, cultural exchange and the arts.
