Marking the 71st Korean Liberation Day, a very special opera will be staged at the Daegu Opera House in Daegu on August 15th.

Joining us in the studio this week are Director Yeong-kee Lee and Soprano Myoung-gyu Lee from the opera “Kim Rak,” which chronicles the life and the legacy of a female independence fighter named Kim Rak who sacrificed her everything for the freedom of the country.

Our guests will give us a glimpse into the deeply poignant opera—right here on Touch Base in Seoul.
