Popular trot singer Hong Jin-young has returned with a new single, “Good Bye.”

The new single, which was released on Feb. 7, is an upbeat song with retro sounds. The song was written by renowned composer Kim Ea-na, who penned mega hits like Brown Eyed Girls‘ “Abracadabra” and IU’s “Good Day.”

Originally debuting as part of a short-lived K-pop girl group in 2009, Hong rose to stardom with her smash hit “Love Battery” the same year and has often referred to as the “queen of trot.”
