According to sources close to the couple, the two met through mutual friends last year in March, and started to develop feelings for each other. They officially started dating in August.

The man is described to be tall and good looking. Hyun-young apparently is said to have fallen for his slightly stoic, serious, leader-like, and trustworthy ways. He's a lover of sports and the two share a lot of similarities, according to various sources. They got closer by hiking together and seeking out music cafes to enjoy music together.

As for the him, he is said to have fallen for Hyun-young's true personality, different from that shown on media. She is an avid donator and he was attracted to her generous ways.

Despite the fact that it hasn't even been a year yet, the two have even considered marriage.
