'Over 1400 North Koreans Acquired EU Citizenship'

Over 14-hundred North Koreans have received citizenship from member states of the European Union (EU).

The EU statistics agency Eurostat said that multiple European countries granted citizenship to North Koreans between 2002 and 2006.

Germany naturalized 518 North Koreans, the most among EU members.
