The Washington Post says top U.S. nuclear envoy Christopher Hill could be asked to man a new post under the administration of President-elect Barack Obama.

The daily said that before the next government launches, the State Department is expected to appoint a series of 'special envoys' in charge of problematic world regions, and there's a good chance Hill could be appointed to the post.

Even if he is selected, Hill would still be directly involved with the North Korean situation.
