'Obama's NK Policy Not too Different from Bush's'

A U.S. foreign affairs magazine has projected that U.S. President-elect Barack Obama’s diplomatic policies will not be too different from those of the Bush administration.

In its New Year edition, Foreign Policy said Obama is likely to bring changes to policies on climate change, energy, the operation of the Guantanamo Bay detention camp and the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.

However, the magazine added that the new U.S. government’s policies on foreign affairs are not expected to deviate much from those of the previous administration.

The report also forecast that the Obama administration will likely succeed where the Bush administration came up short in multilateral talks with North Korea.
