US President George W. Bush and UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon will meet Tuesday at the White House. They will discuss the Israeli air strikes in Gaza, and the economic downturn, among other global concerns.

In a daily briefing Friday, White House Deputy Press Secretary Gordon Johndroe said the president and Mrs. Bush will host a lunch for the Secretary General of the United Nations and Mrs. Ban at the White House.

Both Bush and Ban are expected to focus talks on a global effort to resolve the violence in Gaza.

The last time the two met was at the November Group of 20 global financial summit in Washington.
