The Group of 20 Financial Summit kicked off in London Thursday afternoon, Seoul time.

Leaders from the G-20 advanced and emerging economies are attending the summit to discuss ways of reviving the global economy and improving the global financial system.

Also on the agenda are fighting trade protectionism, increasing international aid for developing countries as well as strengthening regulations on hedge funds and tax havens.

However, experts say a tough road lies ahead for the talks as the U.S. and European countries have differing views on economic stimulus measures and regulations for the financial market.

Meanwhile, protesters against the G-20 summit plan to stage mass demonstrations denouncing the central banks and governments as well as demanding a new financial order.
