Israel Expresses Concerns over NK Rocket Launch

Israel has expressed serious concerns about North Korea’s launch of a long-range rocket on Sunday.

An Israeli daily quoted an Israeli Defense Ministry official as saying that Jerusalem will keep a close eye on North Korea’s moves, noting that Pyongyang has, in the past, exported rocket and missile technologies to Iran and Syria.

The official said the North even went as far as helping Iran develop nuclear weapons and missiles.

He also suspected Pyongyang of aiding Syria’s efforts to start a nuclear program, noting that a Syrian nuclear facility, which was destroyed by an Israeli air strike in 2007, bore multiple similarities to North Korean-style facilities.
