President Lee Myung-bak has invited and met with Willem-Alexander, Prince of Orange and the future Dutch King, at the presidential office in Seoul. The prince is in Korea to attend a meeting of the UN Secretary General's Advisory Board on Water and Sanitation (UNSGAB).

Lee said it was regrettable that the Dutch prime minister did not attend the recent Group of 20 summit in Seoul. The president reportedly said that he hoped the Netherlands would play an important role in the world nevertheless.

Meanwhile, Prince Willem-Alexander reportedly said that South Korea has successfully hosted the G20 summit.

In the interview, both Lee and the prince agreed that the G20 should also be proactive in addressing the water shortage issue.
