The International Budget Partnership has ranked South Korea in eighth place among members of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) in the partnership’s Open Budget Index.

The partnership rated 94 countries around the world in terms of budget transparency and accountability.

South Korea, the eighth highest-ranked OECD member, shared tenth place overall with Brazil.

South Africa was ranked first followed by New Zealand, the U.K., France and Norway.
