France Offers Additional Aid to NK

The Voice of America says that France has offered an additional 140-thousand US dollars to provide food aid to North Korea.

Citing an official of a French aid group, Premiere Urgence, the broadcaster said food provided by the French Foreign Ministry will be distributed to three-thousand-570 people in Hamgyeong Province and North Hwanghae Province starting early next year.

The French relief agency is planning to provide three months' worth of rice, corns, beans and bean oil to orphans and disabled people in North Korea.

Last April and July, the French government distributed food aid worth 210-thousand dollars to 16-hundred orphans and disabled people in South Pyeongan Province and South Hwanghae Province.
