Kim Jong-il Headed to China

Russian media say North Korean leader Kim Jong-il ended his five-day visit to Russia Thursday and is now headed to the Chinese city Manzhouli.

The Russian Web-based medium Zabmedia says Kim’s special train passed a train station in Mogoituy in the Zabaikalye Territory at around 9:00 a.m. Thursday Korean time.

This indicates that Kim’s train is not passing through the Russian Far East but is instead going to Manzhouli of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region.

Mogotuy is a city on the Russia-China border, not far from Manzhouli in China.
