Voice of America says that a tourist agency in the U.S. state of Illinois has introduced a tour program to North Korea's Mount Geumgang.

The U.S. broadcaster reported that travelers will be staying at the Mount Geumgang Hotel which is owned by South Korea's Hyundai Asan.

This is believed to be the first report about the hotel being opened to foreign tourists. If true, it is expected to create controversy as the hotel is South Korean property. North Korea earlier this month declared to dispose South Korean assets in the resort including the hotel.
