Singer Kim Jang-hoon, an active defender of South Korea’s sovereignty over the Dokdo Islets, has opened a Web site dedicated to the islets in collaboration with Sejong University Professor Yuji Hosaka.

The Web site,"truthofdokdo.com,” introduces the Dokdo Islets using video clips and refutes Japan’s territorial claims of the easternmost islets through historical facts, other evidence, and international law.

Kim provided the funding for the site, and Professor Hosaka, a naturalized Korean citizen of Japanese descent and head of the Dokdo research center at Sejong University, compiled the data.

Kim said Japanese and English versions would be opened on the Web site, and a Smartphone application for the site will become available in November.
