N.Korea-China Trade Volume Likely to Post Record for 2011

The trade volume between North Korea and China is likely to reach a new high by the year's end.

According to the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA), the bilateral trade volume in the first seven months of the year reached a new high at more than three-billion dollars. The January to July period alone amounted to 88-percent of all trade volume between the two nations last year, which totaled some three-point-four billion dollars.

During the first seven months of this year, China's exports to North Korea totaled one-point-seven billion dollars and its imports from the North amounted to one-point-three billion dollars.
