Toyota Considering Selling Made-in-US Camrys in S.Korea

A Japanese daily says carmaker Toyota may sell Camrys made in the U.S. in South Korea.

The Tokyo Shimbun reported that Toyota is considering exporting made-in-the U.S. Camrys to South Korea starting next year, instead of those produced in Japan.

The move is interpreted as the carmaker’s attempt to reduce foreign exchange losses amid a strong Japanese yen and to benefit from the abolishment of tariffs when the Korea-U.S. free trade agreement goes into effect.
