Ethnic Korean to Run for Mayor in Southern US

An ethnic Korean and Taekwondo teacher has decided to run for mayor in a small town in the Southern United States.

Lee Jun, who runs a Taekwondo school in Raleigh, the capital of North Carolina, was voted unanimously by the local Democratic Party to run for mayor of Knightdale, a suburb of the capital city.

Knightdale is known as a typical middle-class town with residents who earn high incomes. It was named the fastest-growing city in North Carolina.
