NK Envoy in Geneva for Talks with US

North Korea’s First Vice Foreign Minister Kim Kye-kwan arrived in Geneva, Switzerland on Saturday night local time to hold a second round of bilateral talks with the United States.

A U.S. delegation led by Special Representative for North Korea Policy Stephen Bosworth arrived on Sunday to join U.S. ambassador to the International Atomic Energy Agency, Glyn Davies, who will succeed Bosworth following the high-level talks in Geneva.

North Korea and the U.S. will hold talks on Monday and Tuesday to discuss the North’s preliminary steps for denuclearization including suspending the uranium enrichment program. The two sides will also discuss ways to resume the nuclear talks.
