NK: High-Level Talks with US Yield Results

North Korea’s foreign ministry spokesman says the second high-level North Korea-U.S. talks in Geneva have achieved a series of results and deepened mutual understanding.

The spokesman made the remark in an interview with the Korean Central News Agency Thursday and added both sides at the meeting agreed to continue contact and hold meetings to resolve unsettled issues through dialogue as a means to gain mutual trust.

The spokesman also said the North Korea's stance has not changed in regards to resuming six-party denuclearization talks as soon as possible without prerequisites to achieve denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula. To that end, the spokesman said the North remains unchanged in its stance of implementing in a full-scale balanced way the September 19th, 2005 Joint Statement under the principle of "action-for-action."
