South Korea, China, Japan to start "Campus Asia" program in 2012

South Korea, China, Japan to start

College and graduate students from universities in South Korea, China and Japan will benefit from the so-called "Campus Asia" project that aims to boost academic exchanges through a joint recognition of academic credits.

The Education, Science and Technology Ministry and the Korean Council for University Education have designated ten project groups to take part in the joint degree program. The government officials from the three East Asian nations are currently working to start the "Campus Asia" program.

Domestic participants will include Korea University, Dongseo University, Pusan National University, Sungkyunkwan University, Seoul National University, Pohang University of Science and Technology, Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology, and KDI School of Public Policy and Management. They will take part alone or in consortiums.

From China, universities including Fudan University, Peking University, and Tsinghua University will take part; from Japan, Kobe University, Tokyo University, and Tohoku University, among others, will participate.
