Kia Motors says its sales in the Unites States have surpassed 400-thousand this year.

Kia said on Wednesday that as of the end of October, it sold 405-thousand-95 vehicles in the U.S., topping the 400-thousand mark in its yearly sales for the first time in that market.

Hyundai Motor Company said its sales came to 545-thousand-316 cars in the first ten months of the year, already surpassing total sales in 2010 of 538-thousand-228 cars.

Accordingly, the combined sales of South Korean automakers in the U.S. are expected to top one million units this year.
