South and North Korea have set up a joint plant that produces soccer shoes at Dandong in China’s Liaoning Province.

South Korea’s Incheon United Football Club has invested 500 million won into the joint plant while the North is providing the required labor force.

Five North Korean managers and 20 North Korean workers will reside in the plant and produce soccer shoes based on techniques acquired from South Korean master craftsmen of hand-made soccer shoes.
