New York financial market insiders say the upgrade of South Korea’s sovereign credit rating outlook by credit appraiser Fitch Ratings is good news for the nation.

Fitch Ratings upgraded its sovereign rating outlook for South Korea's national debt from “stable” to “positive” on Monday.

Financial experts predicted that the upgrade will promote investors to revalue South Korea as a good investment destination as advanced nations are struggling economically, and other Asian countries, including China, are suffering from unstable economies as well.

However, they warned that the higher evaluation could boost the value of the Korean currency, and cause negative effects on South Korean exporters.
