S.Korea to Cooperate With Rwanda in Development and Trade

President Lee Myung-bak held and Rwandan President Paul Kagame have decided to increase practical cooperation in development, infrastructure, and trade.

The two leaders held a summit on Wednesday as Kagame is in Korea to attend the Fourth High Level Forum on Aid Effectiveness held in the southern port city of Busan.

Lee said that since a May 2008 summit between the two nations, bilateral goodwill and collaborative ties have increased, including the establishment of a Korean mission in Rwanda and vice versa. He called for Rwanda to support and take an interest in South Korean companies that will participate in developing energy and building an infrastructure.

Kagame said South Korea has become a global IT powerhouse and it aims to turn itself into an IT and economic hub in eastern Africa, following South Korea as an example.
