'US Economy Remains on Gradual Recovery Track'

The U.S.'s Federal Reserve Board says the American economy is continuing its gradual recovery trend.

After conducting a comprehensive economic review on the Federal Reserve's 12 regions, the Fed said economic activities are slowly but gradually increasing overall.

By sector, private consumption, which accounts for 70 percent of the U.S. economy, was on a steady increase boosted by a jump in the sales of cars and tours. The manufacturing and service industries also posted a recovery trend in most of the regions.

Product prices remain stable and in some regions, inflationary pressure has even eased. However, the unemployment rate has been hovering over nine percent since April this year.
