Bootleg Liquor Kills 107 in India

Police in India say a batch of tainted bootleg liquor has killed 107 people in a village near Kolkata.

Police say four people have been arrested in connection with producing and distributing the booze, which people began falling ill from Tuesday evening.

In a similar case, more than 100 Indian people died after drinking bootleg liquor in the western state of Gujarat in July, 2009. Many Indians die every year from drinking bootleg booze that contains chemicals used to spike its potency.
